The Leash Life — Dog Walking Services
1. Agreement to Services
By booking services with The Leash Life, you (“the Client”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and proper care of all dogs under our supervision.
2. Services Provided
The Leash Life provides structured, behaviour-focused dog walking services. Walks are conducted on-leash unless explicitly agreed otherwise and only in designated safe or permitted areas.
All services are subject to availability and weather/safety conditions.
3. Compliance with Local Laws
The Leash Life operates in accordance with applicable municipal and provincial regulations, including:
• Dogs must remain leashed and under control unless in designated off-leash areas
• Dogs must be licensed and registered with the City of London
• Dogs must not be allowed to run at large or trespass on private property
• Waste will be removed and disposed of appropriately as required by by-law
The Client agrees that their dog complies with all legal requirements.
4. Dog Health & Behaviour Disclosure
The Client agrees to fully disclose:
• Any history of aggression, reactivity, or biting
• Medical conditions, injuries, or limitations
• Behavioural triggers (dogs, people, vehicles, etc.)
Failure to disclose relevant information may result in immediate termination of services.
Dogs must be in good health and up to date on vaccinations as recommended under Ontario animal care standards .
5. Safety & Handling
• The Leash Life maintains full attention and control of all dogs during walks
• Dogs will be walked using secure equipment (collar/harness/leash)
While every precaution is taken, the Client acknowledges that working with animals carries inherent risks.
6. Veterinary Care & Emergencies
In the event of illness or injury:
• The Leash Life will make reasonable efforts to contact the Client immediately
• If unreachable, the Client authorizes The Leash Life to seek veterinary care
The Client agrees to be fully responsible for all veterinary costs incurred.
7. Liability
The Client agrees:
• They are responsible for any damage, injury, or loss caused by their dog
• The Leash Life is not liable for incidents resulting from undisclosed behaviour or pre-existing conditions
• The Leash Life is not responsible for injury, illness, escape, or loss where reasonable care has been exercised
This reflects standard industry expectations that handlers must maintain control, but owners remain responsible for their dog’s history and behaviour .
8. Access to Property
The Client agrees to provide safe and secure access to their home, including keys, lockboxes, or codes if required.
The Leash Life agrees to:
• Keep all client information secure and confidential
• Use access strictly for scheduled services
The Client is responsible for ensuring doors, gates, and property conditions are safe.
9. Cancellations & Scheduling
• A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations
• Late cancellations may be subject to a fee
• No-shows or inability to access the dog may be charged in full
10. Weather & Safety Conditions
Walks may be modified or cancelled in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, storms) to ensure dog safety.
Alternative arrangements (shortened walk, enrichment visit) may be provided.
11. Equipment & Supplies
The Client must provide:
• Properly fitted collar or harness
• Secure leash (if required)
• Any necessary behavioural tools (if discussed)
The Leash Life reserves the right to refuse walks if equipment is unsafe.
12. Photography & Media
The Leash Life may take photos/videos of dogs during walks for promotional use (website/social media).
Clients may opt out at any time in writing.
13. Termination of Services
The Leash Life reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if:
• A dog poses a safety risk
• Information has been withheld
• The environment is unsafe
14. Changes to Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

16. Key & Security Policy
• All client keys, codes, and access information are stored securely
• Information is never shared with third parties
• Keys are labeled without identifying personal details
• Digital codes are stored in a secure system
